Since 1826 Cowes Week has played a key part in the British sporting summer calendar and is one of the UK's longest running and most successful sporting events. It now stages up to 40 daily races for around 1,000 boats and is the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world.
I captured these images on 6th August 2014 from the deck of a chartered boat from Southampton as we sailed around the Solent and Isle of Wight.
This was my first flight in the Auster, built in 1943, this is one of only two remaining planes of its type still flying in the UK.
On arrival at our destination, we were thrilled to witness a private Airshow featuring some of the images included here.
